The plaintiff was ignored when he pressed the call light and did not receive the proper care with activities of daily life. The plaintiff developed stage IV pressure sores as a result of the nursing home's lack of care. After the jury awarded him compensation, he appealed the jury’s failure to award him punitive damages and won that issue on appeal. Jury Verdict ($6 million) in Arizona – An 83-year old woman was admitted to a nursing care facility after breaking her tailbone.

If any of the staff were asked a question or for some assistance you were given a cold look and made to feel like you were a huge inconvenience.

Failing to provide privacy and dignity to residents, leaving residents’ private areas exposed with curtains open and door ajar while waiting on other care staff to address wound care issues. Lack of adequate staffing led to unsupervised residents that are listed as high risk for falls, leaving them alone long enough for them to fall and be found sitting on their bottom, landing him in the ER.

I will definitely use them again if we get the budget. Manhattan’s Relay for Life had the pleasure of working with ManiCare this year, where Kate and her team donated specialized manicures to all the cancers survivors in attendance. The quality and care that was put into each manicure was incredible, and each person truly felt pampered during the experience. I cannot speak highly enough of ManiCare’s dedication to making their clients feel special, or their commitment to upholding their noble mission statement.
Most of the residents had been there for a long time and they were happy. Unfortunately, there was no vacancy to accomodate my mother. They asked me what MY goals were, and together we made a pain management plan, and scheduled my medicine before I asked! At the center, the interdisciplinary team created a care plan to help Kathleen meet her goals. The nursing team helped Kathleen manager her pain and taught her about caring for her incisions.
